The content promotion organization had its fifth concert, and it probably can’t be said enough about it.
The highly anticipated Diti Festival in Lagos has finally kicked off and Clout Africa has no doubt given Lagosians a great taste of Lagos entertainment culture and will be sticking around throughout the festive period.
Clout Africa, a content promotion machine designed to be a full media incubator and connect brands to global audiences, launched a concert designed to inspire a closer relationship between fans and star guests known as the “Clout Talk Concert”, and its fifth edition, which focused on Afrobeats and was branded “The Victory Lap”, took place on Saturday 10th December at Wonderland, Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island, Lagos. Here is a review of the event, highlighting the good and bad moments.
Brand and Partnership
Events in Lagos are starting to see brand support, which is very interesting to see. Brands are starting to jump on the many professionals associated with partnering with event hosts due to the powerful fact that they can reach a large number of attendees, which of course provides them with a pool of potential clients. The influence party saw the result of proper branding and sponsorship as major brands such as Tom-Tom, who was the main sponsor, Pepsi, Chicken Republic and Captain Morgan joined forces.
Having these brands on board must have contributed sound, lighting, visual presentation, public relations and other components prior to, during and/or after the event. Interestingly enough, brands like Chicken Republic hardly appear at concerts; Hence, it was good to see that they were in stock with their products, which many had to buy in their store before, during or after the event. However, bringing their product, a staple, close to party goers was a great idea, and we hope they will partner with more event brands. Also, Tom Tom had amazing activations for concert-goers and, interestingly enough, was given out an iPhone to the winner of the talent show. Pepsi and Captain Morgan equally served the public’s drinking craving.
to share
Tailor-made for the new age, the clever line-up of artists was no-brainer for drawing a big crowd, and the “early” December date was equally perfect because “Detty December” hadn’t started properly yet, so there was ample opportunity for people to show up. Aside from the aforementioned, the publicity strategy for the series resulted in record turnout.
Far from an ordinary space, the VIP section was evenly packed, resulting in a show that must have seen less than the 2,000 people already turned up to party, socialize, and have a good time.
offers
As previously mentioned, having a line-up of four of the continent’s top New Age acts promise nothing less than a stunning show, and event organizers could spend less securing their services.. BNXN, Roger, Victone, And the Oxlade They are artists with a buzzing ‘Afrobeats to the World’ movement and undoubtedly have a good level of exposure and international reach, which makes them exciting performers for the crowd.
With the improved listening taste and culture of acceptance that exists in the consumer music space, artists don’t have to be forced to just perform “hits.” Hence, Nigerian acts are given the opportunity to perform more songs during events, as long as they connect with and motivate the audience.
Aside from the stellar performances from the mainstays, a surprise performance from veteran rapper Reminisce kicked off the night in another area. Great performances by acts like Jaido P, Soundz, Khaid, Mani Lapush and more added to the flavor of the night.
All around it was an exciting night of great shows and a great crowd to enjoy too.
Punctuality
The culture of being late is a big deal for both event organizers and event goers in Lagos, which drains energy. However, a disclaimer to the event organizers to start as soon as possible. However, the punctuality of the headliners was a bit late, and it would have been better if they had come earlier because the audience was already losing energy. However, in general, the party started on time and lasted until 4 o’clock in the morning
Having highlighted the positive side of the event, Here are some areas we’d like to see improved in future releases:
interviews
It is understood that the “Clout Talk Concert” is a concert designed to bridge the gap between celebrities and fans. However, for what would have been the “big concert” at the end of the year, the mid-year interviews weren’t really necessary. Given that much more attendance is recorded, the attention span is fast-moving; Hence, the celebrity interviewed in the middle of the show caused a sudden outage of energy. For example, attendees who come to a show several hours after the scheduled start time expect to be met with nothing but loud music, performances, and related components, only to encounter a host interviewing a guest. In the same vein, due to the sudden drop in the pace of the activities, some of those present might have become uninterested and left.
Against this background, it is advisable to conduct interviews in the early hours of the night, after which the energy will only increase. Of course, the advice only applies to a “major concert” because there is a larger audience than a typical “talkie” concert, which has a much smaller audience.
conclusion
There is no doubt that the entire Clout Africa crew understood the job and executed it perfectly. Impressively, all of the acts announced to be performing (especially the headliners) came in. It was the perfect way to start Date December for all the party goers and the Clout Africa team should be highly commended for organizing and executing such a great event. The December 2022 edition of the “Clout Talk Concert” was an unforgettable night that was energetic, energetic, amazing and exhilarating.
