Asake had previously performed twice on the show’s venue to rave reviews. However, showgoers speculate that the stampede was caused by Asake fans who infiltrated the venue with fake tickets, preventing a large number of legitimate ticket holders from entering and prompting the stranded crowd to desperate measures.
