One of Asake’s 02 Brixton Academy showrunners has died after complications from a stampede that occurred at the venue.

According to Metropolitan Police and BBC reports, the deceased, a 33-year-old woman named Rebecca Icomelo from Newham East London, was among the injured and died in hospital on the morning of Saturday 17 December.
At the moment, two women, aged 21 and 23, remain in hospital in critical condition. Four parade-goers were initially reported to be in critical condition after the stampede that occurred on the last day of the 5,000-capacity third day of Asake that occurred on December 16.
