Two years after the shooting that left Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion injured, a Los Angeles jury ruled in favor of the rapper and found fellow artist Tory Lanez guilty of the shooting.
According to The New York Times, Tory Lanez has been convicted of three felony counts and could face a lengthy prison term as well as deportation.
The New York Times revealed:
Mr. Lenz, 30, was convicted of three felony counts: assault with a semi-automatic handgun, carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a motor vehicle and grossly negligent discharge of a firearm.
Tory Lanez could be jailed for more than 20 years as well as face deportation for the horrific incident that left Megan scarred for a long time and with an injury as well.
Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon commended Meghan for her bravery. He went on to add:
“You have shown incredible courage and vulnerability in your testimony despite repeated and outrageous attacks that you did not deserve. Women, especially black women, are afraid to report crimes like assault and sexual violence because they are often so unbelievable.”
