The mother-of-three joined famous Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson on her YouTube show, Mercy’s Menu where she discussed family life and met her athlete husband. According to Adaeze, the courtship lasted for a month after they met before he became engaged. The former beauty queen said; “We met on one occasion and he came up to me and said ‘hi, I just want to be friends’ and as soon as I said that, I liked him… So we just started talking and within a month, he had a promise ring and he said he wanted to marry me. Travel, call me On the phone, he started tagging and a couple of months later, he proposed to me. I still think it was a joke because I was planning to fly to LA for school and he proposed at the airport and that was it.”
Adaeze also mentioned that she was surprised by the speed of things and had to talk to her mother and stepfather, stating that it was a risk worth taking because she believes she would have stayed single so far if she had decided to. Unlike that.
