Singer Primo has come under fire from fans after his controversial and questionable tribal views ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

Primo fans slammed the singer after shocking, blasphemous and controversial comments the singer made from a tribal point of view. The singer shared various posts on his social media platform since December 31, 2022 why he did not vote for the presidential candidate. From the posts that were made, fans were able to deduce that the comments and the reasons why a particular candidate was not selected were tribally motivated.
Primo also confirmed this in a series of tweets, some of which read:
Possibly…however I wouldn’t choose to get close sure of it…and as the southwest unites us all, Lagos for accuracy!! … come or it rains… lol… BAT is… NVM!! .. There will be no chaos .. And the East is painful enough to shake everyone when the power goes there, in addition to these matters.
You don’t respect my intelligence nor my choices…you try not to accept resolve…argue any more…pls…. Not wise enough to be elected yet, he may have to organize his home front visibly to lead the rest of us… perhaps the Igbo Vice-Chairman first would be safer to test the waters with the region!
These views prompted his fans, who happened to be from different tribes in the country, to react negatively to this point of view, especially in a country like Nigeria, which has seen ethnically motivated clashes in the past.
