
The American rapper has come under fire on social media after clips from his recent video clip were filmed at the Ghanaian presidential villa.
American heavyweight rapper, Robert Rehmic Williamspopularly known as meek millAnd He apologized for shooting a video at the Ghanaian presidential villa.
The Philadelphia-born rapper, who was a headline performer at the 2022 Afro Nation, which took place between December 29th and December 30th, 2022, at Marine Drive, Black Star Square, Accra, Ghana, had a great time on the Gold Coast, meeting the chief as well.
However, the rapper faced backlash last weekend after he posted a video that was filmed in the government building Jubilee House, which serves as Ghana’s official residence and office for the president.
With many Ghanaians checking out the rapper on the internet, Meek quickly apologized for his actions. he wrote:
My apologies to people that I found disrespectful! We are still pushing for a connection between black people in America and Africa… What I’m trying to do is more than just a video and you should see it soon! My apologies to the office too!
As he wrote:
For the people of Ghana there is no video I drop that is meant to be disrespectful to the people of Ghana….the quickest way to communicate is through music and I wanted to do that through showcasing art…I’m 30 from America and didn’t know much about the style of life here
