Jermaine Edwards, singer of the hit song “A Beautiful Day,” has responded to his record deal with Sony Music.
It was definitely something huge and worthy of celebration as Jamaican gospel artist Jermaine Edwards’ “Beautiful Day” landed a huge record deal with Sony Music UK years after its release.
The singer took to his social media platform to react to the new achievement and also confirmed that the young boy who covered the song will also be part of this huge deal and a new phase of his career.

This was greater than my team and lawyers. Thanks @sonymusicuk for giving us the deal we wanted. I’ve never seen so many texts, emails, and phone calls from major signs in my entire life. I was so scared I couldn’t sleep and didn’t know what to do. While a lot of people were using Rushawn, my melody and lyrics, they’re selling it online and they don’t respect it.
I fought for my intellectual property rights and, in return, I fought for Roshun.
In the same way his voice was linked to the lyrics and melody. He is now the little brother or son I never had.
We thank God for this strange moment that not even labels can understand what is happening.
