Afrobeats stars dominated the Tingo Mobile-Soundcity Music Awards, a celebration of African music.
Nigerian stars Burna Boy, Rima, And Asaki Among the best acts that dominated the shortlist for the Tingo Mobile-Soundcity Music Awards 2023.
The awards ceremony, which will be held on February 11 at the Ekko Convention Center in Lagos, will honor African artists in 15 different music categories, including Best Male MVP, Best Female MVP, Song of the Year, Best Music Video of the Year, Best African Artist of the Year, Best African DJ of the Year.And The best hip hop music.
According to a detailed breakdown of the award nominations in just the fifteen music categories, Burn Boy He leads this release’s nominations with a total of 8 nominations in 7 categories, including two in the Best Collaboration category.
It is followed by Best New Artist in the latest release Rima Who is associated with the new artist Asaki With each receiving 7 nominations. While all of Rima’s nominations are in unique categories, Asake has been nominated twice in the “Video of the Year” category. Other nominations include first-time nominees His mother is Lai Kamido And black sheriff, with 5 each.
