Singer Themis achieved another feat as she became the first and only Nigerian artist to achieve this at the 2023 Academy Awards.
Following her Golden Globe nomination, the multi-award winning singer and performer has been recognized once again for her tremendous contribution to music as she becomes the first and only Nigerian artist in history to receive a nomination for the 2023 Academy Awards.
Tems received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for her phenomenal contribution to writing the song Lift Me Up for Marvel’s Black Panther Wakanda Forever.

This nomination comes after the nominations for the Golden Globe Awards in December 2022 as well as the nominations for the Grammy Awards 2023 in November 2022.
