Agust D scored a huge debut on Apple Music Nigeria charts with his latest album titled D-Day, which was released on Friday 21st April 2023.
Agust D, from the biggest band in the world today, BTS, achieved massive success with his album D-Day on the charts in different parts of the world. Nigeria was not left out as the rapper with ‘D-Day’ dominated the Apple Music Top Albums chart, Top Videos, and also Nigeria’s Top Songs chart, overtaking top artist projects like Wizkid and Davido on the chart.
“D-Day”, after a day of tracking, reached No. 25 on the overall Apple Music Albums chart, surpassing Wizkid’s first project on the chart, “Superstar”.
The music videos from Agust D’s ‘D-Day’ also released two spots on Apple Music’s overall Top Videos chart in Nigeria with Haegeum charting at number one from the album, attaining position 53 and ‘People pt 2’ which also features that IU also ranked #83 on the chart.
“D-Day” hit number one on Apple Music’s Top Pop Albums chart, surpassing Joeboy’s Body & Soul and Davido’s “A Good Time” as well. Agust D also saw 7 out of the 10 songs from the album debut in Apple’s Top Songs pop chart for Nigeria as well.
“Haegeum” ranked highest at 89, “People Pt 2” came in at 129, “Huh?! which features J-Hope at No. 155, D-Day at No. 156, AMYGDALA at No. 171, SDL at No. 190, and Snooze at No. 193.
Nigeria’s Apple Music charts weren’t the only place Agust D debuted in Nigeria; Two songs from his album “Haegeum” and “People pt 2” also saw the rapper re-enter the Spotify Nigeria Top Songs chart. ‘Haegeum’ debuted on the Spotify Top Songs Nigeria chart with over 6,000 streams at number 169, and ‘People pt 2’, which features IU, re-entered the chart at number 189 with over 5,900 streams.
Agust D achieved a new peak on the Spotify Top Artists chart for Nigeria at number 65 as well.
Agust D joined other members of the group to mark their official debut on the Apple Music and Spotify Charts for Nigeria as a group and with their solo projects as well.
