Show Dem Camp is set to present the first and largest African music festival at Summerstage 2023 in New York, United States.
Alte creators and leader of Nigerian hip hop duo Dem Camp Palmwine Music Festival expanded to North America. Making it the first African music festival to take over New York City’s iconic Central Park as part of the 2023 SummerStage series.
The original African music festival, Palmoin Festival, will be held for the first time in America on August 27, 2023. Launched by Show Dem Camp in Lagos, the festival held its fifth edition in December 2022, with more than five thousand people in attendance. Since its inaugural event in 2017, it has become a major annual event in Lagos and London, with New York set to follow suit.
Show Dem Camp established the festival as an extension of Palmwine’s music releases. SDC has had the best of African music join the Palmwine chain. From the Academy Award-nominated Tems to the Grammy-winning Burna Boy. The duo have always had their ears to the ground and were home to some of the best Afropop artists early in their career.

New York City’s Palmwine Music Festival will feature Show Dem Camp and friends performing Palmwine classics with familiar friends and new faces.
