The 2023 VGMAs saw some of the biggest names in Africa’s entertainment industry take home victories in major categories.
The event, which took place in Accra on 6 May 2023, saw Asaki win the ‘Best African Artist’ category, defeating fellow Nigerians. Burna Boy, Asaki, Kiz Daniel, and Ira Starr For the award that also had newcomers Healer Cameroonian-American singer Libyanka in contention.
