In a recent interview with Steph TV, the singer reaffirmed the fact that he suffered from mental health instability at a point in his life that even got to the point where he contemplated suicide. According to the singer, a lot of the music that has been released recently (particularly in the Afrobeats genre) is focusing more on the useless stuff, which makes the music lack the depth it is supposed to have. He said:
Everyone says Afrobeats isn’t very deep and it’s just good vibes. This is because everyone out there is making noise and the real music is dead. This is why people like me will always struggle. I am one of the most down to earth personalities you can find and I put it on Afrobeats
