The award-winning falsetto singer, who was supposed to drop his third album and fourth project, “Legend or No Legend,” on March 31, 2023, has twice delayed its release but has now shared an official drop date of May. 18.
In a recent interview with Dada boy ahis On Apple Music Africa Now Radio, Wande Coal explained that he got the inspiration for his label “Legend or no legend” After a Twitter argument revolving around his status in the Nigerian music industry.
According to the 37-year-old singer, the conversation on the Bird app that day inspired the title and he’d like to make it clear that the status conversation doesn’t bother him in any way, as he just wants to make music. He said:
You know I’m not always on social media like this but there was a certain day when I noticed my phone was buzzing. I just didn’t get it so I visited on my phone and it was on Twitter.
Someone said, “Is it right to call Andy Cole a legend?” And it turned into a problem.
I didn’t have it, I put in “Legend or No Legend, I Just Love Making Music” – that period – and that’s where I got the inspiration. It’s fun to ask so that through my music I can show what I do.
