Wizkid set a new record for African music with his recent breakthroughs in the United States.
Not only does Starboy Wizkid tire of breaking multiple, different records in the entertainment industry in Africa, and his latest breakthrough in the US is just one of many talented singers who have gone on to record.
The singer’s song “Come Closer”, which featured Canadian rapper Drake, became Wizkid’s second song to receive platinum certification and the singer’s third in his career after earning his first platinum certification with Drake’s “One Dance” and his second with the Monsters recording. This is exceptional because Wizkid is now the first and only African artist to receive three platinum certifications from the RIAA in the US.
