Afrobeat singer, songwriter and performer Seun Kuti has revealed the real reason he slapped a police officer on the part of the Nigerian police force when he stopped his car for a search. The singer revealed that the police officer tried to kill him and his family, which is why he slapped him.
The viral video showed the incident and what happened sparking numerous reactions from Nigerians on social media.

He tried to kill me and my family. I have the evidence, but I’m not after influence. He apologized and agreed not to press charges. Do not think of a job as to make the poor man not lose his job.”
