Made Kuti responded to the arrest of his uncle Seun Kuti by the police and negative comments from social media trolls.
The grandson of the late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Made, has responded to the arrest of his uncle Seun Kuti by men from the Nigerian Police Force after an incident involving him slapping a police officer on Bridge 3 on the mainland in Lagos.
Made Kuti spoke about the negative comments trolls made about his family in the comments section of his father, Femi Kuti’s post regarding the case.
The Grammy-nominated artist shared a photo of himself and his father leaving the courtroom, stressing that there is more to it than social media. In the caption of the uploaded photo, he stated that his family is doing everything they can to provide the help and support that his uncle and his family need.
Read Made’s post:
In court yesterday, I don’t like that we have to post things on social media to show/prove that we are doing everything we can as a family.
But there you are, on account of this much cursing us under my father’s last job, and swearing us to do nothing.
We must accept that life is much more than what we see on our phones.
