Famous singer BOJ opened up about how Wizkid was featured on the remix of the hit song “Awolowo” from his sophomore album, “Gbagada Express.”
One of the pioneers of Alte sound in Nigeria, bolaji odojukan, Who is also one-third of the popular music group DRB Lasgidi and better known as BOJ In an exclusive interview on the popular podcast, Uncensored opened up about how Wizkid was offered the remix of “Awolowo” from his second studio album “Gbagada Express” released in 2022.
The singer, songwriter and record producer revealed that he had been approached by Ghanaian artist Darko Vibes in the middle of the night to request the song, stating that Wiz liked the song and would like to work on the project. He revealed that he didn’t view it as much at the time until two days later when Wizkid shared a snippet of his verse on the song on social media and tagged him in the post as well.
BOJ revealed that he asked to sing Wiz but didn’t think it was possible until it was sent to him, and as many will tell, the rest was history, and the song was released in 2022.
