Burna Boy’s sister, Nissi responded to Davido by labeling Burna Boy his “new cat” in a recent interview.
Following Davido’s recent interview with Brut Afrique, where he discussed how afrobeats have become a global phenomenon in today’s music world, Nissi took to her social media platform to respond to the statement made by the 30 BG coach in the interview.
In the interview, Davido revealed that he started the global wave of Afrobeats along with Grammy Award-winning singer Wizkid and went on to say that “New Cats” like Burna Boy, Rima, Asaki and many more have taken the wave to the next level.
This led to a discussion on social media with some questioning whether Burna should be classified as a “new cat”.
Among the many to respond to the statement Davido made was Berna Boy’s sister, Nessi, who took to her Instagram story to share a video of her brother performing in front of more than 80,000 fans at the London Stadium with a caption that read:
