Singer Primo sparked controversy online when the singer revealed his controversial answer to a collaboration request from Simi.
Social media has been in a frenzy after former Chocolate City singer Primo revealed what he told multiple award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Simi when she asked for collaborations in the past before she got married.
In a post shared on her social media platform today, Friday, July 21, 2023, the singer stated that she had asked for an acquaintance with Simi when she asked for cooperation before she married singer Adikunle Gold.
The shocking revelation came after social media user Adekunle Gold asked if Brymo would appear in his upcoming project. Primo quoted the question with a response that startled many and read, “..although AG reached out later, I like to think he never checked in again, by will or fate because I declined the same request several years ago… I did the same thing with Simi… I said I wanted to be intimate to create intensity.. I didn’t know they were together of course.”
His response sparked online debate about how much female artists are forced to put up with to get collaborations, endorsements, and more in the music industry.
